Galaxy Note II, the largest Android-based smartphone to date, is expected to arrive on shelves in the United States as soon as October 24th, recent reports on the matter suggest.
Samsung has started to send out invites to a press event in New York City on that day, called “The Next Big Thing Is Here,” which could be related to the launch of this phone.
The South Korean handset vendor has already confirmed plans to make the new device available for purchase in the US on the networks of five wireless carriers, but hasn’t provided specific info on its launch as of now.
The 5.5-inch phablet packs a quad-core CPU inside, an 8-megapixel camera on the back, and Google’s Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system. It also comes with a variety of exclusive features powered by the included S-Pen technology.
